Open joint stock company «AK BARS AERO» is a company that renders services of passenger and air cargo carriage on the territory of the Russian Federation (before 2009 – “Bugulma airline” OJSC).

«AK BARS AERO» OJSC comprises airline company, helicopter unit and airport that enables to organize complex system of services at air transportation market and to reduce expenses on aircraft operation. Key lines of air transportation are Moscow, St.Petersburg, the nearest Volga regions, south of Russia and Western Siberia regions.

The air company constantly improves the service level on board of liners, giving special attention to comfort and quality of passenger facilities. «AK BARS AERO» has its own aircraft park including aircrafts with comfortable saloons of business class. For passengers of business class the company offers comfortable VIP-hall that enables to have a rest before flight and to spend waiting time with all conveniences.

Own air-technical base allows uninterruptedly and on the high level to prepare aircrafts for exploitation. Aircrafts of the enterprise can execute continuous flights with the distance up to 3,5 thousand km. It should be noted that the company has at its disposal modern heat-assisted hangar complex which complies with international standards. Hangar complex provides one-time technical maintenance of two aircrafts.

Bugulma airport is ready to receive airliners with weight up to 47 tons. Solid length of artificial flight strip of the airline is 2000 x 40 meters.
Airliners command pilots are first class pilots of civil aviation with large accident-free time in the air. Crew training and technological level of planes with special equipment allow to make flights in difficult meteorological conditions with high level of safety and regularity.

In 2005 the airline company joined «Ak Bars» Holding company OJSC, that gave an additional impulse to the development of the enterprise. Complex valuation of civil air transportation market has been made, a program of the enterprise development has been adopted. It has been resolved to concentrate on regional air transportation with the base airport in Bugulma city.

Thereupon a complex of measures on new air terminal construction and airfield reconstruction has been developed. It includes modernization of air navigation and aircraft service equipment, organization of stations for new-type aircrafts and repair of flight strip. For quality operation and technical maintenance of aircrafts trainings of air staff and technical engineer personnel are carried out. According to enterprise development  program it is planned to renew the aircraft park, to purchase economic aerotechnics of foreign manufacturers and to establish regional air company corresponding to all modern standards of safe and comfort air transportation.
